Not surprising, really.
This is only the "Bond" that has to be paid while his Appeal is pending, not the total fine/judgement that is still due.
Trump's lawyer claimed Trump couldn't afford the $464 million bond though under oath of the court. So they needed to lower the bond! They also gave him another 10 days too?
Aww Trumpism logic 101... I don't know who's worst, Trump or your US legal system and others for allowing Trump?
That is a lie.
This is not overturning a judgement. This is a ruling concerning a required Bond in lieu of the immediate payment normally required since he was found guilty.
This Bond will be held while he appeals the judgement and/or fine imposed.

Additionally, Trump is now only required to pay $175 million to fulfill the civil fraud judgment, as opposed to the ludicrous $464 million levied by Engoron.
Yes, you already said that and I'm quite aware of the US Court Whisperer, Leonard Leo, making his support upon Trump to try bypass your basic US laws and overturn rulings.
You just missed out and I quote: "Donald Trump is still facing accountability for his staggering fraud. The court has already found that he engaged in years of fraud to falsely inflate his net worth and unjustly enrich himself, his family, and his organization. The $464 million judgment – plus interest – against Donald Trump and the other defendants still stands."
You also missed out, Trump and/or Trump lawyer had lied in court under oath.
Trump's Truth Social quote: "Through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash, a substantial amount of which I intended to use in my campaign for president."
Yet in court, Trump's lawyer had claimed it's impossible for Trump to make that bond as he doesn't have the funds to cover $464 million.
Last time, I went to school and learnt basic maths, I believe: $464 million was less than $500 million?
So was Trump lying to his supporters just to brag about money he doesn't actually have (yet again, which got him in this mess to start off with) or did Trump have his lawyer lie under oath in the US court room?
If I was in that court room, I could of easiest claimed that Trump just claimed he has the funds. Stop delaying it over and over, pay it already. Also, terminated the donations going towards trying to pay off that fine by supporters with less money than you claim to have. Why is it Scientology (who's also rolling around in billions of funds and shouldn't logically need to run donation campaigns) running your donations for those Trump fines anyways, did they owe you a favour too or is it just some kind of cult thing?
You do not understand what happened.
This is a lie.
In order to Appeal the guilty ruling and/or the amount of the judgement, Trump must post a "Bond" to the courts while he is awating judgement regarding his Appeal, which has not yet been heard. That Bond must be equal to the judgement according to standard New York law. ALL those who have been found to owe a judgement to the court must put up a Bond equal to that judgement even if they are appealing.
This is New York Law and this particular judgement meant that the court will accept a lesser total in this case while Trump is appealing the judgement.

This is only about the Bond that must be posted while Trump is making his appeal. It has no impact at all on the amount of the final Judgement against him should his appeal fail.
A "Bond" and a "Judgement" are two different things.
Guess what Trump just said, when 15th April comes around, he will appeal it again.
When will the US legal system learn?

Sony Music had a $1 billion bond to pay in a court case.
Oracle had a $1.33 billion bond to pay.
Apple vs Samsung had a $1 billion bond.
Carnegie Mellon had a $1.54 billion bond to pay.
Donald Trump, I thought you where in an alt-reality a billionaire? Didn't you claim your properties asset value where over $10 billion? To cheap are we? Poor baby can't afford big bond for bragging billionaire who does fraud, hush money payouts, donation/charity scams and tax evasion? You claim you have the more money than enough to cover it but at the same time don't? Wow, is your own alt-reality becoming a multi-verse now?
Oh Trump, I bet Joe Biden wouldn't pay a bond for a fine? You could do a full 180 degree flip like you always do and pay it as that would show him! Claim it as your achievement and ego booster! Just like everything else you had flipped on in life. That would really teach him!
Come on, man...
A "Bond" is not the same thing as a "Judgement."
Trump is appealing that Judgement, but is legally required to post a Bond while doing so.
That Bond has been reduced.
Trump is still moving forward with his Appeal of that Guilty Verdict and/or his Judgement amount.
That quote that you refer to was a statement from the New York State Attorney's spokesperson.
That's fake, too, huh?
