Video games you'd watch on live television and control with a telephone.
I discussed with a friend about weirdest ways to play a game, and remembered that there were games you'd watch live on TV where you call the number on the screen and play if they pick up the line. In Serbia these were probably the biggest names I can recall:

"Secret Agent Izzy", a cat who has to save his girlfriend from some evil rat and his henchmen. This one was incredibly successful and had truckload of merch such as comic books, coloring books, sticker albums, ice creams, even a stage play: The game looked like this:

"Bunga Banga Re" no bloody idea what that means, I even forgot the premise but there are 3 elephants and some evil magician rabbit. Not as successful, but it still aired for a while:

And the first one that I remember seeing, Hugo, who as I understood originated in Germany and even has a good chunk of terrible console games:

Now here's the thing, a friend I talked to was aware of Hugo as a Playstation game and not a TV one, and when I brought previous examples up he told me he has never seen something like this, and now I am beyond curious and want to know if other countries had games like this and if yes, I'd love to see them. There was also one that I barely remember, I can't even recall the name, it was a fighting game where two callers would play boxing but it aired like.... for a week.

I never got the chance to play these games because at a time I was too young and parents wouldn't let me, but yeah I can imagine. It'd probably make any game with a terrible netcode look smooth.

Damn, guess I missed out, I had no idea teletext had actual games to play. At a time I thought that if I'm lucky a TV would have a built in Tetris or Snake.

But yeah you seem to be aware of Hugo, can you recall anything similar?

Yep, these are obscure as all hell, only managed to find some footage of S&S and T&N.

Izzy's theme song did people's elbow on me just now, the rest however did nothing.
