Why do religious people hate LGBT so much?
I mean, yeah, sure, this is ONE of the things the Bible is against. But it doesn't talk about this on every possible occasion.

If anything, the hate towards greed seems to be the most common theme. It talks about how greedy people will burn in hell and have no chance at getting into heaven. Why aren't they ransacking the mansions of the multi billionaires? Or doing anything at all about it. They just ignore this fact. Today we have greed on a record level. And it keeps growing with each year. Some people are hoarding enough wealth to live like kings for many, MANY lifetimes while a lot of other people barely have anything.

There is also another big issue. A big, round, blue and green issue. Earth. And all the creatures living here. God's greatest creation according to the Bible. We believed Earth to be the centre of the universe for a very long time, with all the other astral bodies spinning around it. We are actively burning, poisoning and destroying it with complete disregard. You don't see many religious people who are climate activists. Especially among the middle aged or older people. Climate activism seems to be a common trait among young non religious people.

Marriage. Another important topic. Traditional marriage is gone. LGBT marriages are a tiny percentage worldwide so I don't get the hate. Heterosexual marriages seem to be the bigger problem number wise according to traditional values. Women don't obey their husbands anymore. They are no longer required to be "pure" when getting married. They divorce their men very often and take everything they can in court. 70% of divorces are started by women, 90% women among college educated couples. Almost feels like revenge for what they had to endure. Why aren't they pushing for stronger laws to bring back traditional marriage?

Of all the things the Bible talks against and much more often, they sure picked a random thing to be angry about.

I did the search on those verses. You clearly misunderstood the message. David killed Saul, Saul's spirit came into David.

Nice try to corrupt it, nothing you said is even in the verse. Now, God warned us what evil is about.

Do you remember the story about the snake? It is a metaphor of Satan. He wants people to do opposite of what God's commandants. Please for your stake just dont lie about this.
Like the one that cites one should love their neighbor as they would/do themselves?

most people suffer from externalized self-hatred.

You can be as religious as you want, you're still not going to get a tradwife sitting on your basement.

no the vast majority of preachers get into it for the ease of kidnapping and abuse actually.

it's an insiduous book though, it turns them.

their hatred of lgbt is an externalization of their feelings as their role and relationship to this veritable necronomicon of holiness warps their mind into something they no longer recognize: an...okay person. it's an expression of their attempts to grapple with this book and fight it off.

the vast majority of people with a moneymania view it as a stand-in for kidnapping and abuse. they don't even need to think about it, it's a shortcut to every dark desire they've ever had.

as well as the good ones, I guess.

buddy holly, the big bopper, and ritchie valens were the same way you know. buddy holly kidnapped his wife and tied her up in the basement several times, and the music industry intimidated her into recanting. big bopper got his name punching up women, prlly to the tune of chantilly lace. valens liked 12 year olds.

because they (religious people) believe in protecting their children
And this is quite the irony here. They do want to protect their children. But their methods are so weird and simply random at times. Protect their children from what? 2 men or women enjoying themselves? THAT is the biggest danger? Let's assume the worst case scenario for them, their child does become LGBT. How about the other things I mentioned? Their children not really having a planet to live on in under 100 years or working really hard for barely enough to live while others have enough for several lifetimes. What is the more pressing matter you need to protect your child from?

They just want an offspring from their child so their seed gets carried on until the end of time. This seems to be the main thing they care about.

As with anything, it really depends on the context.

There are examples of authentic love between people of the same gender in the Bible:

David and Jonathan. “After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.” (1 Samuel 18:1) David says of Jonathan: “Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women.” (2 Samuel 1:26).

Ruth and Naomi - Ruth expresses her devotion to Naomi with, “Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God . Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” (Ruth 1:16-17).

The Centurion and his servant (Matt 8:5-10). The word used for “servant” here, “pais”, was commonly used to describe a servant who was a romantic partner of the master. [6]

I did the search on those verses. You clearly misunderstood the message. David killed Saul, Saul's spirit came into David.

You are not a scholar, buddy.

I didn't state that they were involved in sexual intimacy, I only wrote what is written in the scripture and that is that there is examples of authentic love between those of the same gender.

You can only use contemporary English usage as a guide to Koine Greek. Have you even studied the original language of the Bible?

Because gay doesn't help them and their efforts to spread the word.

Which is odd. I've met a few gay believers. I don't know why or how... but it is.

Gay people are people. Your god knows this. I know this. Not sure what your problem is?

Let's see if Yankee can show me the part in the bible where Jesus casts rocks at the prostitute, the centurion, the eunuch, the thief in the cross.

Religious people probably think it's against their religion or something like that. Idk, it never made sense to me.

Yes, because you sound sensible and that is NOT tolerated on the internet. Didn't you read the "how to internet guide"?
Gamer is truly the most oppressed gender of all time. We live in a society where gamers don't rule the world
Tell me about it. That I cannot pay for things at the store with a gaming (either by deducting points, a highscore or by winning a gaming challenge or gems in mobile games) is an insult to sensibility and a crime against humanity. Like I tried to pay a buss ticket via the in game currency of Diablo 4 and the buss driver refused. What is wrong with this society we live in? Should I not be entitled to the products of my own hard labour? We gamers are the future of mankind, how dare they deny us our place? We need a revoluting. A gaming revolution. I have a dream, of a world, where we gamers are treated as the gods that we are!

We are talking real issues here that affect real men sitting in real sofas and sweating real sweat while gaming.

More proof that the LGBTQ agenda is in large part about attacking people for their religion. Gays get used as tools to attack Christians by disingenuous actors in politics and media making up these big bad boogieman stories about how Christians are responsible for all that is wrong in your life. The same ol' pitting of two groups against each other to control both.

You should ask yourself, why does so many LGBTQ people seem to hate Christians so much? Remember that wedding cake incident? Yeah, that way a gay couple going around to several Christian bakeries looking for one to tell them "no" so they could bring them to court. That was targeted harassment against people because of their religion. That's why the bakery won the case.

Well, you reap what you sow. Should we be surprised that those saying "you'll burn in hell for being gay" are hated by some gay people?

Natural reaction.

"You reap what you sow?" There's no evidence of the owners of that bakery doing anything of the sort. You're attempting to use a portion of a larger group to vilify hundreds of millions of people worldwide and use that vilification as an excuse to justify harassment towards them? If that's how your worldview works, then you're every bit as much a part of the problem as you claim them to be.
