Most people are biologically straight and have been taught to like people from the opposite sex - and learn that liking people from the same sex is unnaceptable, laughable, etc.
How many times one has heard people jokingly refer to something lame as "being so gay"?
They do not need to be necessarily religious, but religious people tend to be more conservative in nature.
There have been religions and cultures with a more tolerant view of homossexualism, i.e. Ancient Rome and Greece.
There are homosexual relations even in the animal world, so this is not a phenomena restricted to humans only.
Yes, because you sound sensible and that is NOT tolerated on the internet. Didn't you read the "how to internet guide"?
In a couple of places, yes. Though, I don't recall any New Testament mentions of that. (Maybe?)
Mostly, it's because a lot of those who are upset with LGBT may also ascribe to the "Prosperity Theology."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosperity_theology
IMO, this is a wrong interpretation, but quite a few noted preachers have taken up its banner... Trump is a very enthusiastic supporter of some "Prosperity Theology" proponents.
There are many people of all types that support climate activism, at least in terms of reducing Carbon Emissions.
I don't see what you do in this example.
In a great many ways, New Testament principles have superseded a lot of older, traditional, practices. So, when it comes down to "religion" and people that cite religious references, there's a lot of differences between what "Christianity" focuses on, for instance, that other religions may view differently. To wit - Your relationship with God is your's and that's what is truly important. (IMO, and I don't like presenting personal interpretations. Read for yourself and decide.)
IMO - What others say their religious beliefs are happen to be their's. I do not hold to a lot of the social viewpoints some people think I must hold to due to my own beliefs. But, no matter what my social commentary should be on any particular subject, one thing I do know is that if ti doesn't include "love" then it's wrong for me to hold to...
if you repeatedly misgender and deadname specifically and exclusively trans people, you are by definition discriminating against trans people
already addressed, blown way out of proportion
literally every single time i've seen this claim it has been a mix of exaggerations, half-truths and outright lies
but sure, let me see what you have
what's wrong with drag
i looked them up
there is no sign of anything even remotely similar to what you just described
if you're gonna make a point about children performing specifically in adult drag shows, then maybe bring up an instance of children performing in adult drag shows
trans healthcare is healthcare
so far, no country with self-id laws has seen any significant increase in sexual assault in bathrooms and locker rooms as a result of them
doesn't seem like there's an actual issue here
same as above
but i'd like to add, abolish punitive "justice", make prisons focus on rehabilitation instead of locking people up in places where they're prone to rape by both staff and inmates alike
this has been the case for years, by this point you would expect most records to be held by transfems
apparently trans women have a biological advantage at being beautiful i guess
Rather gay marriage was legal 10 years ago is irrelevant now. SCOUS has reversed many rulings including the latest the protections of gays and trans.
Of course steam forums totally ignored that. The SCOUS allowed the states to decide on what law to make. It came no surprise that lower 40 states are against the law and agreed with SCOUS rulings.
The problem I see here is the minority is telling what the majority what to do. Anyone who goes against the minority is being carded as discrimination. This is why one must read the SCOUS rulings.
To sums it up, people dont hate LGBT, the people regarded such as not in the norms of the society. Glorifying or legitimating such behavior is what crossing the line.
Even without religion, it still morally wrong. I am sure one would not commit murder. Why is that? Because it is immoral to end one's life.
You dont have to be religious to know that.
You should ask yourself, why does so many LGBTQ people seem to hate Christians so much? Remember that wedding cake incident? Yeah, that way a gay couple going around to several Christian bakeries looking for one to tell them "no" so they could bring them to court. That was targeted harassment against people because of their religion. That's why the bakery won the case.
