I just want to say that I no longer 'hate' anime. I wouldn't say I now "love" it, but my views on the medium have changed. I made this post at a time when I was like 16, far from mature. This post is also more of a rant towards some sections of the anime fandom rather than a hitpiece directed against anime as a whole.
I recently checked out some other anime myself and really enjoyed them. I even revisited the ones I initially criticized and my experience with them was far more positive. Anyway, this thread doesn't reflect my current attitude and looking back, I wish I was more constructive.
No worries, OP. A healthy sign of personal growth is being able to look back and reflect on past decisions with the objective clarity of hindsight. There's no law requiring "once X, always X", that's the beauty of having free will. You're the senpai of your own life, we're all just here through the magical power of friendship.
Anybody who tries to convince you otherwise, just do what I do...
