Why is there an anti-furry fad among generation alpha?
Why are all these gen alpha kids becoming anti-furry crusaders? Like it seems a few years ago nobody cared yet nowadays we've seen an explosion in the amount of anti-furries with most of them seemingly being in generation alpha. Is there like a TikTok thing radicalising kids into becoming anti-furries?

Gen Z loves to hate. Millennials are halfway there, that's where they learned it from. Gen X stuff DGAF, we're just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired of hearing it.

Back in my day, the internet thought furries were annoying. Then again for a while the internet thought bronies were even more so. Then they mellowed out.

Get off my lawn.

There's always been plenty, no?

Usually the ones with the most vehement hate for things like that tend to be just a few years away from becoming what they're hating on though. Seen it waaay too many times.
this is true.

Furries on the internet used to all be Sonic fans. It took a looooong time for that to change.

What the hell is " generation alpha " ?

I am not surprised young people nowadays don't know who they even are with all these terms and " camps " they put themselves into or move themselves between.

People should just be who they are and mind their own business.

I am too old for this, I know what furries are, I have my opinion about it and thats it. Then I move on. Each their own man.

Actually the furry fandom got it's start as an offshoot of the underground comix movement. Some cartoonists started zines about funny animals or funny animal people and then they started having meetups at the same conventions where they'd watch commissioned anime fan translations on VHS. Then two gay dudes decided to start the first furry convention while some other people started one of the longest-running graphical MUDs.

Then came the Burned Furs, who were essentially not at all happy about being associated with perverts - of which there were plenty even back in the 80s and 90s. Also not happy with the annoying people who either LARP as animals, are otherkin, or won't shut up about veganism for some reason. That petered out because no one else was annoyed with the fandom.

Once Eternal September not only peaked but the internet became more and more mainstream, well that's where things simultaneously took a turn for the better and the worse. Doubly so when the bronies in their infinite wisdom decided to be even more annoying or, as the kids say, cringe.

Well man, I'm not ashamed to say I'm not that versed in furry history.
