Safest Country in the world?
Not in terms of it's capability to defend itself, but more so a country that doesn't have problems with other countries and probably never will.

I would say Iceland. I'm aware that I might run into a polar bear / lions / tigers etc, but I don't care about that.

Switzerland is a safe bet as historically it has been neutral for quite some time.

Has the added bonus of being safe in many other aspects too, such as little criminal activity.

Though its military is not the best so if someone decides to invade it they are basically screwed.

Other countries elsewhere are also very safe in the contemporary political scene. Uruguay in South America, for example.

Probably Argentina the more south the better.
New Zealand maybe altough China and NK may cause some problems.
Not gonna mess with Ching Chang and Kim Jong. Thank you for input though.

Brazil for sure, because it has enough problems of itself so it won't create more trouble with the neighbor countries.
Don't know if it's a good thing though :D

At least they couldn't join a war if a world war happened, that makes the country safe from superpowers.

The low crime rate must have something to do with severe consequenses, or maybe it's just one of those countries where people aren't criminals.

New Zealand would be safer then Switzerland.

Politically, yes. But they do have earthquakes and potentially tsunamis.

Tsunami is a problem when you're by the beach. Listen to wise Obi Wan and move to the higher ground.
New Zealand is a good place until rising ocean levels turns it into the City of Atlantis 2.0
I would say Greenland but they just had a volcano pop off recently

south africa should be ok

but if you be sure go antartica, i am sure at 100% nobody going to nuke antartica in next 100 years and global warming should spare the place for at least 500 years

Japan is really safe if you consider it’s population.

127,000,000 people it’s 4th place in terms of lowest crime rate.
