Thus, i will be refering to this film a the new Avengers - or whatever licence is doing screen-sparkles at the current moment.
And, again, i can only wander why i should be watching a full film when all the beats and big moment of the film were just shown to me in less than 3 minutes : the rest of the film is just ... filler.
Will the movie add anything to the trailer ? I think not.
There's a better movie already released

Don't take them as truths. Especially when you don't know who you dealing with
^-- This. HDRI is a gaslight for "cheap action-drama."
Angry dramatic tuba is overblown...
It's a zeitgeist predator.
No matter how bad it is or how ridiculous and unrealistic it is, people will leave the theaters and call it "prescient." They'll all be smiling, thinking it's the greatest, most meaningful, most best everest socio-political commentary since "Independence Day." (That's a jab at ID, which is pure fluff action, in case nobody got it...)
Movies like this try to ride the wave of public sentiment not to give us insight, but to capitalize on topics of the day. Do not expect anything more stirring than some character expositing "divided we fall." And, there's probably a comedy relief character that will quip "Yeah, a divided America is like a hot-dog without any mustard on it!" To which they will be answered "Shut up, Jack" or some such nonsense.
To be sure, there will polarizing imagery. Expect innocents to die by the thousands at the hands of soldiers who are as faceless as Stormtroopers.
"What depth, what majesty, what sinneemaaah!" writes Itotallydidntjustcashastudiocheck.
"Improtant messages, here. We should head thise dire warnigs." says Fred's Movie Closet.
"We can learn a lot by watching this movie again!" writes <Insert Payee ID Here>
It may be entertaining, but it surely seems like it's awfully darn heckling cringy timing. It's someone about to commit sexual assault first asking their victim if they have venereal disease.
PS: I liked Ex Machina. It had a very simple message and was well constructed to tell it. I think this movie will be similar, but I also think it's not going to be as well received by practical audiences. It's a case of "too soon." but taking place before the "soon" part... Still, it's got that HDRI and Angry Tuba going for it, so... /popcorn
What would be the point of that? I would rather see Garland exploring new ideas, which he does. And Ex Machina without Garland is simply a pointless cash-grab like sequels to movies like A Quiet Place. Some ideas are good for a self-contained story and should leave it at that. Not everything has to have a sequel or a franchise,
