Should we buy a Sega Genesis or a Super Nintendo?
Some of my friends play Sega Genesis and my other friends play Super Nintendo.
Title.
I'm only allowed to have one videogame system (we are not that rich).
This is going to be my first game console..
..so I don't wanna miss out - I wanna play the best games!
Help me choose pls

What is Mode 7 and will that have a impact on the games we buy in the future?

why would you buy a very old system for something around 200 or something like that, when you can buy used ps4 for the same price.

I can't afford the Neo Geo, but only one of my friends got that one.

I've never heard about Ps4. What's that?

collecting retro devices is a waste of money and time, emulators are cheaper and free. instead of being a game made in 90's and lower, you can download rom and play it for free in a very better resolution and way better condition and cheaper electricity cost.

I still do want a Super Scope 6, but really only 3 games ever used it. I'm going to have to put that dream away until I can find one cheap(and working) along with BattleClash and those other games I forgot the name of.

Just like an old Cadillac that consumes a lot of gas. People that are into this don't really care about money tbh.

If I had to do all over again, I would go Gen. Turbo Graf was the best.

Worth mentioning that if you're getting an older game console like the Genesis or SNES, it's better to have a tube TV. This stuff can look pretty bad on a flatscreen.

Emulators are an appealing alternative, but some of these game companies go out of their way to hunt down rom sites over copyright, so I don't know what the emulation scene is like these days.

I can say that most of us retro guys get these old gaming consoles and the games because we have a nostalgic attachment to them, and there's authenticity in having the real thing sitting in front of you. But it ain't cheap.
