Have you ever had to make the hard decision to permanently delete a game you once loved because of bad/no support making it literally unplayable?
This doesn't happen very often but lately I'm discovering I'm having to delete games that I once liked because companies being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that were not before. Just had another one happen where Euro Truck 2 my all time game cannot be played anymore on modern PC's.

No and most older games can have fixes to make them playable on new os's.

The game op says isn't playable on newer systems the store page says it plays on win 10. Any game that works on win 10 will work on win 11 since hardly nothing changed from win 10 to win 11.

I can’t said delete but I can’t really make myself go back to starbound. It’s not what it used to be, and frankly I can’t remember what version it peaked on, but that was many years ago

Usually it's the other way around, companies removing games from sale I wanted to buy (Alpha Protocol) or removing them from servers (live service s**t), making them impossible to play for those who already bought them.

to avoid your account being hacked and scammer remove your game from your account

only possible if you refund it

You can absolutely delete a game from your library if you choose too, idk why anyone would but the option is there.
never see this option, i can only uninstall or hide my game, but remove it from my account i cant

There was a time on steam when one could permanently delete games simply by right clicking them in the library. It was a limited time feature, I wouldn't say brief i think it was around for a couple years. I accidentally discovered the feature by deleting 'Full Throttle Remastered' permanently from my library. Support simply asked for product key in order to reinstate the game. That is rather unreasonable. I was unable to retrieve the game.

I've only done that to games I hate and also RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS because I downloaded that game to write a review about it.

♥♥♥♥ that game in particular.

What is the point of wasting time to just open a game just to write a bad review about it? :steambored:

You just need to go to your library and right-click a game and select "remove from account".

It's like 2 clicks...

I was obsessed with Conan Exiles... then they nerfed a bunch of the stuff already in the game and went pay-to-win. I turned on God Mode, grabbed all the remaining achievements in single player, then uninstalled it, and I have never played it since.

That one still stings.

if it is so easy why need steam support, why not just right click ?

feeling they need to invstigate the account first, now if they are sure you own the account probably they remove the game without reply to you

but for me when i refund game they send to me a reply they confirm they accept

Ahh you are right. I tried, no work on paid.

Tho I remember removing some other things that were not f2p, so guess that threw me. It was just like old beta's or something....

Yeah but you don't pay for the old betas so they work like f2p games, tbh the delete game function is silly cause you can just go back into steam support and undelete it.
