hé. I can think of "Higurashi no ni kai", of "Black Lagoon", of "Lain", Cowboy Bebop, even Escaflowne was nifty in its time ... and not an opening, but the prayer in the OG ghost in the shell is still ringing inside me.
There was a piano opening of that anime with "invisible head-hands that cut anything and anyone in her path" ... cannot remember the name thought.
