The March 31, 2023 tornado outbreak is officially the third largest tornado outbreak recorded.

The Storm Prediction Center released their year in review for 2023, and has officially decided that the March 31 tornado outbreak is the third largest outbreak since records began in 1950, measured in number of tornado reports. March 31st is now up there forever with the 1974 super outbreak and 2011 super outbreak. I added a link to the SPC's year in review for those who doubt me.
