Should I leave the union? And how do you leave?
So I pay the union at work $25.80 every time I get paid and they do just about nothing for us. They recently negotiated to get us more flexible work rosters and an hourly pay increase but we had to sacrifice double time pay on Sunday and double time and a half on public holidays (it's now time and a half on public holidays and time and a quarter on Sundays) and the pay increase they got us was not extra, we are supposed to get a performance based pay increase every year anyway and instead of being performance based everyone just got raised to the same hourly rate so I only ended up only getting an extra 37c an hour while most other people got as much as a $10 hourly increase because I'd been there for years and earned a higher pay rate for my good performance PLUS they changed the way our bonuses are allocated, it's no longer based on the performance of just your store, it's now based on all stores in your area so now instead of getting between $800 - $1200 bonus every year I get about $200 IN GIFT CARDS. So, so not happy about this, I don't want to give these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my money anymore, I have no idea HOW to leave the union though? Like... for real?

Ask someone(perhaps a lawyer) who specializes in unions.
Review your actual contract with your union to see if there is any wiggle room without losing any or all benefits.
Talk to your union rep so they know your needs, which is their basis for representing you so its kind of a big deal.
Find a non-union job(might even be at the same place as a contractor or some other job category).

They seemed to represent the casual and part time employees much more than the full time people in the actual union, the flexible rosters were a good thing if you didn't work full time like me. All I got was the option to take a 3 day weekend BUT I would have to work 9.5 hour days to make up for it and work 6 days in a row on one week, absolutely not doing that! I know who my union rep is but I never spoke to him, he works in another department of the store. Should I just go up and say I want to leave the union?

I'd say, see what you can do first so sure just go and ask if you can actually get some meeting time with them. There's probably penalties for leaving just the union where the situation would be worse than if you somehow never had joined when you started working there.

I'd have a talk with whoever the union rep is and explain your situation to him before just leaving.
Usurp them. Take over the union and make it better. Get on the board. Become the rep.
It's like the mafia, once you join you can never escape.
What a racket against the worker.

I won't tell you what to do but a suggestion would be to open eyes on other places and unions to be a part of.

That Union needs a Hoffa to kick its ass.
