Transgender representation in games makes no sense

So, let's say you are a man but you want to be a woman. What's nice about videogames is that you can play as everything and everyone, and who or what you are in this world does not matter at all. So if you want to be a woman, at least in game you can do that if you can play as a female character.

In the real world, you have a problem which is that being male does not feel right to you. If you would have been born as a woman, everything would be fine and you would not have been transgender at all.

So WHY do you want to take transgenderism into the game? In the game world, your problem is solved! You are a woman and have never been a man. So you're not transgender either, you can just drop all of that.

And that is what you want, isn't it? You don't want to be transgender, you want to be a woman.

Some people stay trans because they fear the surgery or are waiting until technology gets better. I don't blame them. You only get 1 body and 1 life, why not try for the best deal you can get?

Agreed, if you're trans in a world with magic you just become a woman/man.

Most game worlds have better tech then us also.
Games with character creators are self-explanatory..

It was never about that though, it's about pushing an agenda.

You may not know it, but you're arguing that the act of playing a video game as a male character or female character makes you trans.

in other words, all male characters and all female characters in video games are post-op.

But let's say you disagree. Then the act of playing as trans ends up not being a representation in a video game, but rather an act of the imagination on the part of the player. Trans becomes imaginary, and therefore all characters are trans (Niko Bellic, Ryu, Scorpion, Laura Croft, etc).

By trying to be cute, or efficient, you've erased trans representation and subordinated it to an act of the imagination. No scripted missions, no written dialogue, no story beats will express that the character is trans but instead only express male or female representation.

I've seen mean-spirited comments and agendas against LGBTQ or trans people, but your comment really takes the cake. It's really sneaky in how it goes about erasing trans representation. Just terrible.

That's also true, it's ultimately about self-expression.

It could be insightful to know that people like that exist as it may add more observational understanding about the world around them.

Self-exploration is an important part of discovering and understanding oneself.

What do you actually want to happen: Have it as a separated DLC to install only or have a big massive warning popup before you can play the game to tell say it's rated E for Everybody?

most of those games suck tho... and some ruined the franchise IMO... like wtf was borderlands 3? it wasn't like borderlands 1 or 2... it was all hyper sexualizing moxie and then that little tina chick that was questionable at best... like wtf happened to borderlands? it got all ****ed up by the wokeness.

diablo 4 was just bad.

I personally don't think it's what makes or breaks a game, but anyways. You could play as a alien without a gender if it was that upsetting for you?
