Zelda needs an anime.

I would say it would fit best as a cartoon such as Samurai Jack where there is minimalist storytelling and instead reveals the story as Link goes from place to place. Personally, that would be most similar to how the games tell each story.

To clarify, Link would obviously remain silent. Another reference to what I am talking about is the show Primal, another work from the same director. A show don't tell approach.

Maybe, but whom will Nintendo trust enough to make an Anime about that franchise? And which studio would trust Nintendo to not sue them into oblivion at the 1st mistake?

honestly i think the main obstacle for that was because nintendo is one of the worst pearl clutchers in history. you either take a big L doing a deal with them or they say 'no deal' and walk.

very hard to reason with.

probably why they're still struggling to bring nintendo to steam.
