It's not only convoluted but shallow to boot. It's that special kind of aggressively stupid, unoriginal game that is also pretentious and pointlessly unrewarding. I swear Kojima has brain damage.

Alien Isolation. Installed on Friday uninstalled on Saturday. I couldn't advance past those 4 guards in the lobby who always shoot me. After multiple tries I found the solution in Windows program manager

nowadays it's a run of the mill asset flip early access flops

but this was back when steam greenlight was acitve. No one knew much of the concept of early access

worst fate was that the game is now part of the guy who ruined warZ with the hacks and bought the rights to re-re-re-release it

he did the same for nether (the buying rights reselling idk if he actively hacked it)

Nearly all Ubisoft games. I can't stand them. They are formulaic to the extreme, always hardcore rushed and overmonetized to the absolute core.

They all have the same looking assets, same anti aliasing, same copy paste emotes, same customization systems across wildly different genre games. Copy paste worlds with rushed placed assets with tons of clipping, ai that run in circles, emotionless npc's. Completely out of place dances and outfits. Season passes. Microtransaction currencies in single player games. The garbagefire Ubi launcher. Slow loginserver connections for their live service games that you lose when Ubi pulls the plug after a decade. Historical inaccuracies. Bugs, so many bugs. Indian tech support that just paste from their FAQ's and don't even read your ticket. And it just goes on and on.

Ubisoft are the modern LJN from the AVGN, copy pasted rushed garbage concealed by fancy graphics to pretend it's a triple A product and fool the uninformed consumer.
