although sometimes the brand owner is literally too cheap to pay $200 for a book that has literally every recipe used in industry written down, so they alter one of the recipes to be terrible and present it as original instead.

ngl some are bad (usually value brand ones) but some are really really good (most of the baking ingredient ones are honestly good)
The recipe is on Chex cereal boxes and you can make a metric crap ton of it and it's better than the premade crap.
can vouch for them they go HARD hand made vs store bought
no cut corners
also the hershey cake made from cocoa powder instead of the premix bags also tastes a little bit better for some reason
so far it's mostly from lunch materials like mayonaize or corn flakes
