well it means :
*runs windows
'*can ideally be adapted from components (though to be honests the first pc did not have this ability either)
*is x86
*runs all x86 games made
*has keyboard and mouse to control it.
aka it has all desktop FUNCTIONALITY..
an apple is not a pc.. even if it is an imac
a laptop to a degree is a pc.
anything else.. not a pc..
technically you could make a true handheld pc.. again something that has all the functionality of a pc but handheld size aka a very small smaller than a laptop.. could be theoreticaally build...
but it likely be crap to have a keyboard that small and glaze at a screen that small...
best you likely could do is make a powerfull device the size of a smartphone that runs TRUE x86 windows... that you could mount in a docking station with a monitor mouse and keyboard..
it be like a desktop pc.. but with a very tiny case that fits in your pocket.. while you leave the perifials at home..
I always loved consoles and started to use Steam and PC to play games after 1) the Wii U disappointed me too much and 2) newer consoles were even worse than the Wii U.
At first when the Wii U disappointed me so much I did not even switched to PC immediately, before that I even tried to stick to my first Wii modding it (it was veruy easy to do) to spice it up a bit and get some more use out of it. I started to use PC to play games like something AFTER athe last resort lol. I have always hated computers. Now I do not hate them as much as I used to do in the past but for sure they are not enjoyable as a good console used to be. You are just very different from me, if you cannot understand what I am talking about of course you have a very different opinion.
PS: Microsoft suck and the only Windows that did not suck were Windows 7 and 8. You should not mention Windows when you try to defend computers. If you love computers so much you should start using Linux at least. Just saying, not that I want to force you or anyhting but Microsoft is bad.
I always been on pc from a very young age back when it was an 8086 imb pc that did not even have a harddrive or a mouse.. but had to load dos from 2 large floppy's every time you started it. into it's ram..
and a commendore 64 who again had no mouse or harddrive and just 64kb memory.. in which you loaded games by typing commands in sys and programmed on in basic.. and ran games from cassette tapes..
I hated on consoles from those very first days..
but the hate was more a "ignore them" back when each had their own software.. and 7 consoles shared halve a rack in the fysical gameshop and all other 69.5 were pc games.. back when the world made still sense.. and consoles were a marginal thing at least where I lived.
when that reversed.. and pc games were relegated to 3 racks out of 70.. or forced to buy on steam.. that fueled an increase in hated for console.. how DARE those peasants infringe on MY geek hobby.. take over MY shops..
but the real hatred started by no fault of their own.. but by developers who started making games multiplatform.. logically that lowered the experience for me significantly as consoles have much weaker hardware and vastly younger and more casual users than us pc gamers.. thus those games felt dumbed down and made much creapper than they were before when we had pc exclusives.,.. it also ment on servers those obnoxious console gamers now mingled in between you pc gaamers..
the wii I tolerated more.. I still not liked it.. but at least it had it's own software and sold it's games in toystores not gameshops.. so it had it's own niche where it not bother me unlike those other consoles..
You'll be happy to know that no matter how much diversity it lacking on the board, you can rest assured knowing that it will be assembled by the indigenous peoples of wherever.
ever since my 8086 in the 80s I ran dos, or windows.. and all systems were an x86 plaform..
the only non MS software and hardware pc I had was an commendore 64...
gaming on linux.. the horror... I am not ready to capitulate.. I rather stick to retrogaming on win 7 and win xp forever.. than to move to linux.. and yeah windows is going down the drain these days.. so it's game over the traditoonal way anyway..
