But yeah, points sound good too
the holes are to help equalize pressure and encourage the tube to bend flex-ways rather than warp and put lateral pressure on the cylinder.
You could also put the tube somewhere warm to make the butter more maleable. Such as your pocket.
OP tried to do this. He gathered all the required materials but when the time came OP couldn't do it as the mere thought of damaging the cylinder sent shivers down the my spine. I guess I'll just have to live with my favourite cylinder stuck in an M&M tube
