It looks pretty and that's it.
People who don't know anything about lotr might enjoy it but even then it's simply a mediocre at best show.
As is, it's a giant middle finger to Tolkien and his work.
Ruins the established characters for no reason. Ironically makes the female characters weaker for the sake of it.
maybe you can apply for a job at amazon studios if you want to add your perspective to the show.
Troll along then, you are factually incorrect.
i am factually correct.
here's that long thread:

They sold it a sliver of the lore that is not expanded upon to Amazon and monitor it to ensure it does not break the bounds of that contract.
Here are Amazon's policies. ALL Productions must obey these requirements. They are mandatory as part of "The Inclusion Playbook"-

It doesn't matter what is in the lore, books, tales, and other media - Anything associated with what Amazon produces must be incorporate these diversity imperatives. So, if any story conflicts with those in any way, that story can't be told in its original form according to these principles.
No outside consultation necessary, Amazon has already written The Inclusion Playbook and all other books must bow to it.
otherwise, take it easy and don't discriminate buddy.
