Prime Video has LOTR show? Now I'm hesitant to look into it... I've never heard of this and I'm a pretty big fan of Mordor lol

Hell no. It's a disgrace to the entire lotr universeand it shows that not a single person working on the show even remotely bothered to check out the source material.
It looks pretty and that's it.

People who don't know anything about lotr might enjoy it but even then it's simply a mediocre at best show.

As is, it's a giant middle finger to Tolkien and his work.

It's bad.

Ruins the established characters for no reason. Ironically makes the female characters weaker for the sake of it.

nah, it's true to the lore and it's really good. Tolkien's estate ok'd it.

maybe you can apply for a job at amazon studios if you want to add your perspective to the show.

If it was true to the lore, the dwarf queen would have a beard.

no, when the 1st season came out there was a super long OT thread where people poured their bitterness and disdain for the amazon show. Any and all claims of 'not true to lore' or 'tolkein would hate it' were debunked.

i am factually correct.

look kid, i'm not going to entertain your inane questions. Google it yourself. But i warn you: if you think that non-white actors should be barred from playing characters in Tolkien-based works then you're talking race-based discrimination which is against the law. Please be lawful.

nah, it's true to the lore and it's really good. Tolkien's estate ok'd it.

They sold it a sliver of the lore that is not expanded upon to Amazon and monitor it to ensure it does not break the bounds of that contract.

maybe you can apply for a job at amazon studios if you want to add your perspective to the show.

Here are Amazon's policies. ALL Productions must obey these requirements. They are mandatory as part of "The Inclusion Playbook"-

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210616005809/en/

It doesn't matter what is in the lore, books, tales, and other media - Anything associated with what Amazon produces must be incorporate these diversity imperatives. So, if any story conflicts with those in any way, that story can't be told in its original form according to these principles.

No outside consultation necessary, Amazon has already written The Inclusion Playbook and all other books must bow to it.

create your own studio and make that all-white people Tolkien work you've always dreamed of. and then watch it fail.

otherwise, take it easy and don't discriminate buddy.
