It's like most people have common sense and don't want it snuck into our games. I'm glad a Sweet Baby Inc Detective list came out so I can just not waste my time on titles who involve themselves with woke DEI nonsense and gender cult propaganda.

I've never been on a game forum like the BG3 forum. I knew everyone's sexual orientation and politics there. Why? Why now?

because some people really don't like that you have the option of a same sex romance if you wanted to and these people just won't shut up about it.

its really stupid because its all just artificial outrage.

you should have seen the Dead Space Remake forum in the first 2 weeks of that game's launch.

it was full of threads were people were outraged and complained that the toilets on a space ship had a unisex symbol on it.

Elden Ring plays the same whether you decide to play as a male or female character.

Starfield likewise plays the same no matter what pronouns you decided your character to use during character creation.

Cyberpunk 2077 does too.

So ultimately it depends on you.

You must decide how important identity politics are to you and whether the character creator of a game asking you what pronouns you would like your character to use is something worth getting upset over.

not really.

1.) you are not forced to engage in the romance, you can always decide to opt out.

2.) all the dude guys behave the exact same way if you had created a girl. its not that all the guys are gay, its that the game simply doesn't care about your characters gender and its giving you the option regardless. whether you want to engage with it or not is still your decision to make.

3.) same sex romances in RPG's aren't a new thing. you could have same sex romances in Dragon Age Origins which is a 15 year old game by now. as a matter of fact, all of the Dragon Age games up until this point had same sex romance options. The same is true for Mass Effect. And for Skyrim too which also allowed same sex romances.

same sex romance options in RPG's have been around for over a decade at this point and if you didn't want to engage in them, you didn't had to.

it was never a problem before so why is it a problem now?

because some people decided to make it an issue for no reason
