Have you actually seen a large bear attack something? I seen a video not too long ago of one pouncing on a large herbivore, either a moose or an elk and just brute force slamming it to the ground and ending it. It was one of the most powerful and aggressive attacks I ever seen and the bear seemingly came from nowhere. It had all the agility it needed for a fight.
no it's much slower and clumsier than a gorilla, as well as significantly less flexible, and the gorilla literally just needs to punch it in the chest or head once. bears have so much weight and redundant tissue that a gorilla simply falling on them could break their sternum, neck, or collar bone. any form of grappling would allow the gorilla to wholly overpower it. the bear essentially gets one shot to end it outright, or they're toast.
bears have 30-50% weaker muscle tissues than a gorilla on average, black bears being the 50% candidate, and weigh typically twice as much relative to muscle mass. even if mass were a direct translation to muscle strength, which it's not it's an exponential limiter on muscle strength, they'd still be 40-60% as strong as gorilla.
you're basically saying butterball or yarbrough could beat mike tyson, just because they weigh more.
Again, they're both critically weak to blunt force trauma. Narwhals ram polar bears in the shoulder and break their collar bones and they die all the time; often without even touching them with their horns.
Grizzlys avoid both rams and stags during mating seasons. They're superior predators when they choose to pick a fight, and run a real risk of killing the grizzly with a headbutt.
Similarly, bears of all kind stay the hell away from moose and will run if they smell one coming.
