I mean, Gen X did a bang up job in afghanistan and iraq right? Along with the boomers in vietnam
If they are nationalists why would they fight for another country?
In other words they should be careful how they handle diplomacy because they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
That's actually exactly why they won't do a draft. That's the general consensus of the situation. Media Blackouts would absolutely skyrocket, and it's just not a logical, or practical approach to cost efficiency versus things like drones and sanctions.
Worst case, we would develop our weaponry several series per line item ahead and keep that specifically reserved for our military, and deal in arms to other countries for the lower tiered arms since those arms are still better than the otherwise alternatives. We kind of already do that within NATO, but depending on which way diplomacy swings, that could still be a more viable cost efficient approach. Provided we keep the metrics correct in our adjustments for defensive superiority in advancement high enough, we will be fine.
So to answer Ulfrinn's question of "What does a county whose only remaining asset is waging war do when it's standing at the precipice of ruin?" directly, the answer is: Sell Out. He's Right Winged, he should know that already.
Plus, if they send all of the young people to go die, then they won't have any young people left for their future plans to enslave them and make them work for free. They really hate that one, because it points out that they can't have it both ways.
So yeah, it's not gonna happen. Don't even worry about it.
I'll worry about the draft when the draft actually happens, that's when I'll worry about the draft.
No we can't. That's why we have america to protect and fight for us. We in europe have enough problems and issues to deal. The cost of living is killing the working man at the moment but it will be the working man who gets the draft and be expected to go and fight and die for your country.
What war is gonna happen in the USA that you are gonna have to come save us for once? If you don't want us involved in European conflicts you can just kick us out of NATO, I'd honestly love that.
Hate to break it to you, but if WWIII began Canada would join as they are America's closest ally. Canada would be the worst place to flee.
As an Ottawa native, this accurate. What's worse is that you're paying that much to live in a city with very little to do.
Every war, in the history of war, has been a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ war. Because every war in the history of war has been about resource management. It was that way 5,000 years ago, and it's still that way now. So as capitalists, what are we gonna do? Sell Out. It's just more efficient than war. lol.
