With every media platform like facebook, various media/news outlet comment sections, the YouTube comment section -- all have been basically turned into an echo chamber by the uneducated winglet of the right. (Not the entire right wing)

It's an echo chamber, one guy writes something and the rest congregate towards it, circling jerking each other or turning into an unruly mob of failed debaters and useful political idiots when the opinion is different.

Truly incredible folks! While voters who are out working and doing something with their lives -- the uneducated, unemployed winglet (not the whole wing) on the right think they are actually doing something.

But guess what?

The average working citizen, with an IQ higher than 100 mostly disagrees with you. Thats why you lose elections. You guys make bubbles of misinformation, get consumed by it, and think the rhetoric and temperament of these platforms is echoed everywhere else

Nominally we're all part of the state because we vote, so we should be interested in politics. But anyone who actually gets interested in politics more that superficially gets coded as "weird" and a "loser" because his time isn't completely consumed by work and bar hopping or whatever.

So which is it? Are we going to participate in what the government does or should policy be left to an unaccountable hereditary professional ruling class while we focus on living our lives and put up with whatever they want to do? Echo chambering is bad; and it's everywhere.

But consider the loudspeaker funnel, where it's loud on one end and literally an echo chamber on the other.

Once you're in a community space for a while you know all of its tricks and the noises it makes and what they all mean, you know the chants and how they go. Its reality is merely an echo in your mind at that point; it may as well not exist anymore.

But when you're going into the funnel, it's all loud and new and dramatic and unknown. You're seeing the play unfold for the first time. It seems newer, more real. You're learning new things, instead of hearing the same old stuff all the time.

So the same things that loudspeaker an idea also echo it, you know what I mean?
