So we've just been buying fresh chicken breast from Aldi and making sandwiches with them. Just be aware that they are mutant chicken breast and you'll probably want to butterfly them before breading and cooking.
But, no, I'm not aware of any good breaded chicken patties or breasts currently on the market.
i'm ok with making my own, but family liked to eat chicken sandwiches as a 'I don't want to make anything today' meal.
Do not buy that stuff.
You can get a fricking boneless skinless chicken thigh for around the same price.
Then just dip that bad boy in a flour with salt and pepper and fry it off in a shallow oil.
It'll taste better, it's faster once you know how to do it, and I bet it's even cheaper. You can even add more effort in as you learn. Like egg dredge to make the coating better. Different seasonings. Etc.
while i'm willing to go to the effort, family is not. they just want a easy "I don't want to deal with making food' meal
though I will be honest, I hate dealing with breading because its a mess and usually turns out like crap, still good to eat but nothing even close to premade.
right now, the option was other pattie's, the problem is while the patties are good, the texture is gross to family, so instead of that I wanted to see if there was anything already prebreaded possibly pre cooked that wasn't ground up and... well... definitely not a chickens texture, the perdue is kind of a half way between tyson and what mcdonalds use to feel like texture wise before they decided to make nuggests higher quality (and at least to me at the time, destroy what made them good in the first place and just made them ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuggets)
next time we end up going shopping im going to see what the options are, I was mostly wondering if there was something already made with a brand name.
