Time to Cancel Celebrities

There is too much in my opinion of worshipping "celebrity" .

Our money goes to the big shows and these big executives and the big names.

Why can't we start putting our entertainment money into the old bag down the road at the local theatre?

It would help the community inspire more people to try something without Simon Cowell and the huge network ridiculing some people and gathering all your money into what he says you want.

The alternative would be more people acting and singing and promoting local culture over what we are told to like and what to watch.

Just my tuppence.

Well now, you're at about where I was 15 years ago when I stopped watching TV or movies entirely. Haven't seen a TV show or film since 2008-2009.

This goes with a thought I had about musicians. For a million years, musicians played to make money. Then the ability to record them was invented. The record industry was born. Then the internet was invented. No need to buy media anymore. Technology giveth and taketh. If musicians have to go back to playing live to make money, I am OK with that. They ain't.

agreed. I don't watch any new movies anymore. If I do they are free and not paid for by me at a friends, etc.

Actors IMO should make w/e minimum wage is in their state. Or do it as a free hobby and have a real job.. They aren't doing actually anything. Pretending to be a real person whom actually did something. Pretending to be a character in a book who was already created and made by the author, etc.

absolutely blows my mind people worship these people just because they play adult pretend and make millions for it.

its actually sick if you think about, especially with all the people with extreme needs around the globe.

They are ~ absolutely ~ corrupt self absorbed people who put on masks to make you think they are beautiful and actually give a about you.

do it create more entertainment that is meaningful and not having to fit whatever an executive wants you to be inspired by.

you 100% have this right in public places. Can I go into a store and start shouting on a microphone. nah. there are laws against that for multiple reasons, even though in a lot of cases when 'modern agendas' are involved these laws don't seem to be enforced.
