I like this Elvis I posted because this show he was so livid and loving life...

Idc if he only did covers, the man had a golden standard in his delivery...

Nah, he is just an outdated character with a music that unfortunately did not age very well :steambored:

He did covers but listen.. this ain't strawberry snowflake ♥♥♥♥ man... This is real passion...

Elvis didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ what he looked like, it was just passion unlike these new age kids without talent. Raw talent although with covers...

Unlike your hip hop trolls with baby faces who never been in gang life whom talk it up a bit...

I ran with Crip and Blood on a trap kiddo... This ♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't play well with tramps...

Respect or ♥♥♥♥ away...

Money is money - understand that girl...

I know what i did, the money I made, I need answer to no one, including the FBI..

I faced it all, I did it my way...

You youngsters fear to even live as much as Elvis did, only to dream...

Respect has to be earnt...

Why should I give Elvis a special treatment? As for 2024, he is just another artist like the rest and he and his music are not the big deal nowadays :steambored:

Artists comes and go away... Elvis had its golden age, but nowadays is not a golden age for him (and most likely it was not the last 20 years... :steambored:), just like all artists...

I am not saying Elvis is a bad artist (that is another topic), but nowadays Elvis does not have something that ppl nowadays value or appreciate him to give the respect some ppl think it should have :steambored:

I do not care if he was a very succesful artist or a cultural patrimonio in the past, that nowadays means nothing...

Michael Jackson was doing 1967 Elvis in the 80s, in terms of how he styled himself.

Musically, Johnny Cash is doing Elvis.

Or Elvis' career just responded to trends and Cash was and is easy to make trends out of.

Clambake was the turning point where Rolling Stone Magazine's associated editors felt they needed to put their foot down.

The previous 3 or 4 albums had already absorbed all the benefit of the doubt the publication had to give.

It doesnt mean "nothing". He was highly influential, and still is.
How do you think the sounds of "Today" got to be how they are?

Producers like Rodger Bain. John Peele. Critics in news media. The sensationalization of acts for extramusical reasons, and the creation of self-assuring trends for the sake of profitability.
