I don't believe people like me and i sometimes hate my life.
It might not serve a purpose but it helps that i get to say it.
People do hate moaners but they wouldn't like me anyway so it doesn't matter.
Alcohol makes me feel better, But i can't drink for multiple reasons, my stomach lining is so bad it can hurt to drink, it costs a billion bloody dollars a week to drink and i probably say stuff i shouldn't.
People look and listen, they know I’m up here, while they are down there, hoping I drop a drip on their thirst.
You're welcome friends
(And probably better than cracking a whip on yourself, which would be pretty tricky to do)
"They don't see the real me, they just see what amuses them. I know what I really am, the rage, the cowardice, the laziness... Do better, you filth!!"
Something like that.
Difficult to get rid of, especially if the person believes it about themselves firmly.
It's disarming, presenting oneself in a sel-deprecating manner. It makes others feel at ease.
Do you know what the word/phrase means? Look it up.
People who are "having a bad time" and communicating that are not being "self-deprecating." They're complaining, valid or not, or in extremes are being ruthlessly critical of themselves in an effort to gain understanding, sympathy or behaving in such a way as to signal they've got deeper self-esteem/other issues. That's not... "self-deprecating."
Maybe I'm just a hipster.
