USB sticks are one of the most handy things. I used to use tons of them as media when I was more involved with photo shoots and stuff I'd copy all my edited photos onto a USB give that to the model or a CD copy of the shoot. But seriously USB at the time was super cheap and handy to just have a box of them to give out.

Well, I've been catching up with movies in the last few months, and still trying to -- and that's "strictly BluRay"; no streaming whatsoever.

It's more complicated with TV shows, and near impossible with Anime. I have almost ignored the first, and completely ignored the second. Maybe for now, maybe forever, don't know.

So it seems "Hollywood" is the part that gives me the fewest problems...

I should read about that again.
Depends in the type of solar flare if it's another CME yep we're pretty much back to the late 1700 early 1800 type of tech.

ps6 i give 20 percent chance it has physical slot
The console makers profit on cheap drives. Especially if its optional.

They'll keep supplying demand until publishers abandon it.

in a far away future Sony is gonna make a playstation 2 mini with like 50 inbuilt games. :cocochan2:
I'm sure that only 10 of 50 said games will be worth playing, have sub-par emulation and wouldn't even make it past 30 FPS.

switch cartridges are basically a proprietary form of SD cards since they use the same kind of non-volatile flash memory cells.

when nintendo next console come around if it's still use cartridges I would expect them to have up to 128 gb in capacity since the switch already have up to 64 gb.

i enjoy collecting games and movies on discs. Maybe physical games will stop but we will always have dvd and blu ray for movies.
You sure about that, streaming already probably has like over 80+% market share easily and it'll only continue to grow meanwhile the next consoles won't even have disc drives which will likely be the last nail in the coffin for blu ray too.

Replace the word 'Hollywood' with 'japan' and everyone would willingly bin their physical media collections in no time.

That's how f'ed up our 'new far right mainstream' is.

Physical copies for console games and movies is always superior to me.

Looks good in shelf.

They weren't easily accessible and you had to wait so you had endless of taste unlike today where you've seen everything so you have nothing to watch. Streaming service ruined it.

the last time a CME happened was in the mid-late 1800s i think.
telegraph operators were getting shocked by their equipment, even when it was turned off and unplugged.
those certainly didn't have semiconductors in them the way we know today.

I'm never giving up my DVD collection. I definitely will continue to buy movies on DVD.

Remember you can be banned from any platform or service. Nobody can ban you from your DVD collection. Or any library of physical games you have.
