Nintendo hates their fans.
Im probably going to regurgitate a lot of things other people said but i think nintendo gets let off the hook just because they make good games. Im going to tell you just a couple things nintendo has done to people.
1. Cease and desists to smash tournaments for no reason.
2.sued a family for having mario on their dead sons tombstone (disney also did this)
3. Nintendo ninjas. people hired by nintendo to stalk people who mod their game systems (actually real)
4. Nintendo hates the smash competitive community so all evo events arent sponsered by nintendo.
okay i know thats a small list but thats some of the worst things off the top of my head that i can think off.

Nintendo still can't write good netcode and it's ridiculous, especially when GGPO exists and uses the MIT license
Would still take em over Sony. Censorship of anime styled games pisses me off that much

sony owns the patents on the netcode; Nintendo can't pay to use them because it would highlight the fact that they're an implicit market monopoly owned by Sony.

same reason toyota can't pay for an aircon that isn't broken.

Nintendo's aggressive licensing is the primary reason anime games never really took off, and their attempts to create an anime for them to license themselves is the reason nobody else can do that either.

The entire anime game genre is essentially held together by duct-tape and the dreams of people like the Toho dev. So, indie ♥♥♥♥-tier league as usual.

And of course all of Japan benefits from the burakumin's ♥♥♥♥-scooping, except the burakumin.

WIthout Microsoft's support of independent developers the genre would still remain a niche and VNs wouldn't be mainstream. Nor would any games based on the genre.

Sony('s slave Nintendo) makes Microsoft look like a good guy. Wow!

I like how Nintendo fans are so out of their minds they actually defend Nintendo against Palworld, even though it appears Palworld is 100% legal because Nintendo haven't gone after it yet and they immediatly take down ♥♥♥♥ when they know they can.
I just happened to have two Nintendo games featured on my profile, and I'm not about to stop playing either. Sorry guys.

they're growing the pot for them to sue out of later.

there's no money in fans making games they liked, so they just shut them down.

but a big release like palworld? they can wait. it's a raid. they're scum. they can do whatever they want.

I mean Nintendo had 3 years to actually attempt to sue Palworld devs whatever ensued probably was done pre-release as both are a JP company. I'm sure they played it safe enough despite whoever claim otherwise.

they settled the suit out of court iirc.

commentators at the time were suggesting that nintendo wasn't quite satisfied, but were confident that the age of continuous development would cause palworld to eventually breach copyright and allow them to absorb the codebase for use in a pokemon game.

as has happened with several other games such as Umihara Kawase, which Nintendo practically ripped out of the devs hands after going door to door on all of their holdings because their game had pixels in it.

so the idea that Nintendo serves the interests of Japan is ludicrous. they serve themselves, just like the other feudal corporate lords. but they're valuable to Japan, so the government acts like they're anything but a corporate leech.

Nintendon't
I hate all of those practices, reasons why I avoid Disney© and major persecutors for "intellectual property"...

Yet Nintendo® is the best.
Nintendo does love their money though.

If Game is good, I will play, simple as that 🤷‍♀️

And well, I do not compete on Smash... So on that regard I do not care :steambored:

Damn Nintendo doesn't ♥♥♥♥ around. Now imagine if Nintendos rabid psycho fans found out the kid played Palworld, they would of dug him up to beat him back into the grave for tarnishing the Pokemon legacy.
