the most badass of badasses the chad of all chads
I think it is Thomas Cochrane.
The things he managed to do, get away with. the list of absurd accomplishments.
I can't think of anyone that can top that.

Achilles

Still remembered after more than 3000 years.
If we are counting fictional characters I am far more badass than Achilles. Still alive and feared after 10,000 years.

Achilles was real though.

What's your source on that? All I could find on Google was "There MAY have been a guy".

He was not tough at all, not if you compare him to someone like Thor.

There was a story about Johnny Rotten.
I heard he came all the way from Badassia.

Surcouf or Ibn Battuta both take his cake and eat it.

Anything else ?

Since we are talking about fictional characters too I would like to nominate Vulgaris Magistralis,
the chaddest of them all.

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus.
Wong Fei Hung.
Abraham Lincoln.

True examples of man among men.

Buddha, for undermining the Theocracy and Caste System of his time as a philosophical revolutionary.

Ibn Battuta sure interesting guy, but he just went to places, basically thats all he did.
but ask yourself who really was captain of the Arab? It was Thomas Cochrane xd
Surcouf, he just lucky he never ran into Thomas Cochrane, cause that would be the end of Surcouf.
Surcouf entered service to Napoleon, but it was Thomas Cochrane that made Napoleon himself say : THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GUY! (but in french and probably in other words, but that just details)
