Viewers can not see dislikes anymore though, unless they use some special addon.
Its obvious that they try to make sure that viewers don't see how negative a video is rated. This was most likely requested by some governments.
Pretty much this, all the woke and LGBTQ content usually gets massive amounts of dislikes as the people generally don't approve of it and the content is being forced on to people in order to make them think that its all normal and popular, which it is not.
Its similar with google reviews.
Exactly, You can still share that you dislike something (and express yourself) without contributing to an overall toxic environment.
How is it contributing to a toxic environment when I as a viewer can at least see the dislikes ?
All it does is censor ! People can't see trash content and have to watch it to find out if its trash and if they see woke propaganda of some sort, they don't see how everyone dislikes it anymore but watch it and might think : " Oh, seems like they are right ".
If anyone thinks not seeing dislikes as a viewer is good, one is clearly naive and failed to understand what is going on.
English speaking countries appear to be the only people who consider every piece of criticism a " toxic " thing to do. You guys are pretty alone with that mentality to be honest, sadly you control most of the media and therefore affect us free thinking people as well, abroad, who are not paranoid and woke.
Sometimes, you miss what somebody's getting at. You'll end up supporting the content, and contribute to something far worse than a "toxic environment."
150k dislikes would serve as a wake-up call that you should actually pay attention to what kind of ♥♥♥♥ the person's about to say in the video you're watching. Even if you don't pay attention, the majority at least can do that for you, and warn you.
If you don't see the problem, then you are the problem. You're already the embodiment of "problematic," because you've already shut your brain off, and now you don't want others alerting you to that fact! No, actually you don't want others to be able to alert each other either!!
Why do you ask people if you don't want to hear what others have to say?
Why do you care what others (that might just be bots) think about it a video? Watch the video and decide for yourself. For the most part, sane people don't go around clicking on video's they don't have a high likelihood of enjoying anyway.
I want to hear it, but I argue it, its how the real world works my friend.
Most videos with a lot of dislikes are usually trash, such as all the government paid YT channels in my country, which blocked comments and now you also don't see dislikes.
How do you determine if it's a government payed YouTube channel? I doubt they would advertise that fact.
Because these channels belong to our TV stations and it can be looked up online who they are owned and financed by. Its not a secret.
You are not from Europe, specifically Germany, so you have not the slightest idea how the system works over here.
So basically remove all tools and opportunities for people to raise or share their opinion on the internet anywhere because you are scared of negativity ?
Got it.
Then why do you prefer having dislikes and likes disabled ?
Ez.
