Like how Elon Musk attempts to sue the internet watchdog Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), research groups and many others, in an attempt to show his authoritarian and threaten them into silence?
How he demands 25% shares ($83 billion more) from Tesla or no 'AI' after wasting most of his Tesla shares on the xTwitter purchase.
(etc)
Or how Donald Trump only vows to be a dictator on 'day one'?
His speech on Veterans Day where he vowed to “root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”
How he claimed immigrants were “poisoning the blood of our country.” (Nazi propaganda straight out of Hitler's book)
Inciting an actual riot on January 6 at the US Capital, that lead to his supporters wanting to hang Mike Pence for not following his orders to rig the US election?
Donald Trump has suggested violent consequences for those who dare to cross him.
"Mark Milley, the outgoing chairman of the joint chiefs of staff? He deserves to be executed", Trump said "so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!"
None of that was authoritarian.
There you go.
Isn't the same as backing a bill with vaguely defined terms that open citizens up to being arrested based on offense being taken but it's still bad.
Well you are meant to register and login to view this:

However, click on "View Original" and it should take you to the source document anyways.
Where did you get that from?
It already covered victims of anti-white / anti-christian / antisemitism, it's merely adding more "protected" groups based on gender to that too.
The protected characteristics under the Bill would be:
1. Race; (antisemitism, etc)
2. Colour; (anti-white, etc)
3. Nationality;
4. Religion; (anti-christian, etc)
5. National or Ethnic Origin;
6. Descent;
7. Gender; (adding more to cover all)
8. Sex Characteristics;
9. Sexual Orientation; and
10. Disability
I'm SURE this bill will really crack down on anti-white and anti-christian stuff....
It's not the person who lives rent free in my head.
I just hate the narcissist behaviours of certain individuals and the DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse) technique they tend to use...

I could care less if it was Putin, Trump, Elon or anyone else doing it.

I still think people get confused what 'Hate Speech' actually is. It's quite different than disliking or disagreeing with me... now if you sent me a death threat or wanted to threaten my race, gender or perhaps you just really dislike cisgender alpha males and don't want them to have a voice, that could be considered as 'Hate Speech'.
A feminist could spew a lot of 'Hate Speech' towards males, harass them online and want them to suffer... Now as for being a feminist with their own point of view, they would still have freedom of speech and expression, just not that as that would be censorship of another's point of view or even encouraging the real-world harm upon them.
Why you would actually want that harassment and toxicity, no idea, unless you are the one wanting to do it yourself because you discriminate against others or just consider racism, etc, the norm?

my problem is giving the government the power to dictate what someone can say, they can and will abuse that power. If I say something that they disagree with they can say im spouting hate speech and get me put in jail. They can use it against their political rivals and against citizens with differing views. The governments power should be limited by the people to prevent tyranny. I don't think you truly understand the potential consequences this could have in the future.
