At least, in this case, it's wonderful. I seem to remember that Jim Morruson from The Doors would go for long walks at night during the last few years of his life. Charlie Chapin was also quoted as saying that he loved walking in the rain because then nobody could see him crying.
I have gone for walks with my friends in my area as it is safe and quite nice with a lot of parks and nature reserves but I don't on my own.
after the covid lockdowns it started drawing people who were kind of clearly on the edge though, among other types, and it was just too crowded so I stopped.
paparazzi and the strategically difficult to defend or monitor areas in my other possible walking routes sort of made me stop going out at all. by the time that was a non-issue alcoholism and anorexia had removed my ability to walk very far anyway.
how embarassing; I bet the van crash footage hits the darknet and you get people wandering upto you to ask about that instead, too, and you need to go (for the 50th time that day) "yeah that damn news meida, just wants to make you look like a dang helpless loli and not a menace to society," which again loses its charm the first or second time you get to say it and becomes a 'yes i'm a killer loli; no i don't want to kill you go away' foot-drag.
AND they sent the amber alert out HOURS after the van crash.
