What do you think of folks who name their kids weird?

They're collecting Pokemons. Their intent is to torture them into submission and then use them to compete with other parents for "dumbest ^@%^ name" contest.

Why in the world would someone put their child through that torture? They're nuts, but one doesn't need a license to be a "parent."

No. Don't give your kid a weird name.
My mom gave both me and my sister weird names and it made our childhoods Hell in school.
Can always tell where we are in roll-call by the rhythm break of the teacher who can't figure out how to say it.
She gave us traditional Russian names, because we're genetically Slavic, but I don't understand why she did that because she doesn't speak any Russian, my great, great grandmother on her side was a Russian immigrant, which is why she did it.
I do poke fun at my own Slavic heritage sometimes though. Got to. It's cheap entertainment to.
I also don't speak a lick of the language, and the closest I've come to meeting anyone in person from that area is I used to have a Bulgarian girl that worked for me some years back.
But yeah, don't give your kids weird names, that's cruel.

Also, don't name your kids after months and seasons like Summer, Winter, Autumn, May, June, or April. It really shouldn't be that hard for you to remember your own child's birthday.
