Texas is blocking border patrol access to US-Mexico border!
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/texas-refuses-comply-biden-administrations-cease-desist-letter-border-rcna134423

It's almost as if Republicans want border problems because they know that they won't be blamed for that but Biden administration. Though in reality: how is the federal government supposed to address the border, if they don't even have access to the border?

What Texas is doing here is quite unfortunate. They are not looking for solutions.

Yeah, and how many Americans want to do this kind of job?
there's a lot of americans that hate on immigrants whose job is being a right wing podcaster or youtuber selling merch like "Biden is not smart" on a tshirt or something like that. and that tshirt is made in China.

i guess Texas can't just make more jobs? i bet there's plenty of things to do there. it's just lazy governance at this point.

GOP rather have a performative 'battle' with the feds instead of fixing Texas.
No, no it can't, you can't just make jobs out of nowhere nor does it solve the massive cultural and linguistic issues of have entire sub-population with enough density to run it's own economy. Reminder: one of the biggest forms fo work VISA abuse is people of a country hiring their friends from back home to jobs when it makes no sense to do so. Now imagine that in the local ghetto where you cant track it. again, the Chinatown situation

Sir the USA cannot break the laws of causality. Americans can do a lot of things but bnreaking causality is a bit too much.

I'm not too averse to outdoor jobs, though I can be prone to heat issues if left out in the sun without proper shade and water.

And that's fine. I just find it funny that (not only in America) people say that immigrants are taking their jobs, but a lot of people are picky with jobs and wouldn't do some things.
i think the problem is one rabid group of politios wants to call denying even 1 foreign national a free cross of the border without a visa racist, while the other moderate side wants to restore a semblance of control to permit legally entitled entry, and then there is a another rabid group that may be racist and wants to deny all entry to foreign nationals

this is happening because Texas has become fed up with DC's inaction, and mobilized the National Guard to patrol its own border.

meanwhile...

I wonder how difficult it is to be accepted in one of those shelters if you were born in America.

So it's somehow not out of control for 100,000 a month or more ILLEGALS pouring into our nation and spilling into the cities using up resources taking them away from actual legit homeless people whom many aren't illegal?

100k a month? :WH3_greasus_rofl:
About that, yes, that were caught and that we know about.

In the past year (sorry, in the past TWO years, since Spring 2022), about 150,000 of the illegal immigrants caught at the border (just over a month's worth) were sent to the sanctuary city of New York (where they wouldn't be whipped by border patrol on horseback or forced into Obama/Biden's child-sized cages).

Just one month's worth of immigrants sent to the largest city in the world was enough to completely collapse their social safety programs. It was enough for mayor Eric Adams (a Democrat) to denounce President Biden's border policies.

Immediately afterwards, mayor Adams was subjected to a campaign fund violation investigation by Federal authorities. Probably unrelated.

Texas is receiving more than 10x that number of immigrants a year, about 2 million annually, as has been stated.

Yeah, so you probably believe everything the government says? Even this?

Do I believe Democrat mayor Eric Adams when he says that the NYC budget is being cut 3% across the board because of 150k illegal immigrants (1.8% of the city's total population)?

No, you're right, I probably shouldn't. A democrat mayor is probably just taking advantage of the situation to line his pockets while playing the victim card.

I can't really explain him berating President Biden though...

So you only believe Republicans? I have bad news for you, mate, you shouldn't believe any of them.
