Personally I don't think it'll happen, with the caveat that MAYBE the US will be glassed depending on how you interpret the Book of Revelation.

Also adding climate change risk on top of nuclear war risk, really muddies the water.

As a person who grew up during the Cold War and living at military bases that would have been targeted from the day I was born on a SAC bomber base, I never worried about nuclear war. If it happened, I was gonna be dead anyway. I still live in an area with all 5 branches of the military located in a target area. There would be no way to get that many people out of said area in the short time it would take for either an sub launched or silo launched missile to hit this area. I would still be toast if it all started. I really don't think about it.
