It's now the closest it's ever been to midnight.

Midnight means nuclear Armageddon and in 2023 it was 90 seconds from midnight.

Time to get a cuppa on.

Personally I don't think it'll happen, with the caveat that MAYBE the US will be glassed depending on how you interpret the Book of Revelation.

Yeah just maybe these terrorists murderers and the other religions in those countries won't be thinking at all about some dumb unfounded religious story when they decide to attack the USA...

What is the timescale of the Doomsday Clock? How am I supposed to interpret one minute? Is there some formula like X minutes minus Y times the number of nukes in the world or something? Or do they just go "nobody's talked about the Doomsday Clock for a while so let's move it"?

Midnight = everyone dead / will die
Noon = world peace
Everything in between = ???

Yes they did.

Well given that there will be wars for potable water among other resources (i'm a bit pessimistic about this), the likehood of nuclear war also escalates. Still most likely we won't see it, however Zoomers & generation alpha might suffer the global nuclear winter side effects.
