i got a used dell optiplex with an i5 3rd gen and put in a cheap gt730 and its a pretty strong pc for under $100
YES I HAVE A GTS 450
Sorry. :(
also, you say it can only run retro games, but the current card im using rn (GTS 450) can run 95% of my library really well.
so i guess a GT 1030 wouldnt be that bad
for ps5, rtx, xbox x unlikely
i am not confident you able to run alan wake 2, hogwart, starfield
remember to set the graphics to the lowest
If you play 15+ year old games, then maybe.
I have the craptastic gt 1030 DDR4 version in a fairly od machine for playing media.
I have never tried to game with it.
There are amply youtube videos showing the performance.
Also 'good for gaming'is subjective.
funny thing is that we also have to pay for the game twice!
