Why Doesn't VALVe Do Anything about "Loli" Anime Content?
Search up Steam groups (and other stuff like that on Steam) with that word right now. Every group about that stuff looks pretty concerning, lightly put.

Rules and Guidelines For Steam: Discussions, Reviews, and User Generated Content:
Don't discuss or engage in unlawful or prohibited activity
Any posts or activities that violate Steam's legal agreements are not allowed.

Examples of prohibited conduct include:
[...]
Exploitation of minors
[...]

There are many Steam features that support custom image and content uploads for players. Examples include screenshots, player artwork, custom profiles, and workshop items.

When uploading images or workshop content, you should adhere to the following guidelines:
[...]
Content that exploits children in any way;
[...]

Many things, not even covertly, OPENLY hint at THAT stuff while being all very popular. How is this even remotely acceptable??? Groups with names like "[...] Appreciators" shouldn't have a place on Steam.

Period.

Eh, no. Valve as a corporation that does international business still has to think of their bottom line. And since having to bribe everyone to get their way will not only get them only so far but will also hurt their bottom line, it's only natural that a publisher will not push some games in some jurisdictions.

Much like how corporations who want to do business in the Middle East will not fly the gay pride flag in the Middle East. Never mind that they only care about homosexuals insofar that they care about any other group they pretend to care about.

Which is to say, they only care because it's profitable for them to use insert wedge issue here as a marketing ploy. And only until it's not profitable for them to do so.

But it was about ppl posting stuff in groups. Are those posts going to be banned in those countries? That's gonna be fun.
Oh, that. Yeah, Valve's own rules regarding steamcommunity.com as a whole are pretty straightforward - don't post porn of any kind whatsoever. Doesn't matter if it's a screenshot from a game or artwork that you've uploaded and it doesn't matter if it's in a group or on the community page for a game. It also doesn't matter the content of said screenshot or artwork or whether or not it's legal in your jurisdiction. It also doesn't matter if it's on your profile, if it's your avatar, or if it's simply a comment someone made on your profile or on something you've uploaded.

Don't upload porn to Steam at all, unless you're a developer or publisher who is doing business with Valve. That's pretty much the gist of it. With the obvious disclaimer that I am not a moderator, nor do I work for Valve.

Nor would I want to be.

I'm not sure if this is about porn, OP didn't mention that. He could have brought forward that rule then, but he didn't. I'm not even sure if it is actually about loli, or OP just calls them that because they look young.

U know ur battery phone come from abused kids? Choklet in old days was from abused kids and every ritch eat and drink with AC in their room , oh they will be sad when their kids got "scratch" meanwhile the others spend all day to get get 1-5$ if we didn't count xx amount of risk.

Why they ban loli but they allowed selling loli games? You know you can file one document to ban theses games oh with ai tools you can do 1 minutes, does theses ritch governments couldn't handle it in eu way but somehow china ban more.
Fully aware of that stuff, doesn't mean i don't do my damn best against it, it ain't much but talking about this now is something too.

What do you think "exploitation of minors" and "content that exploits children in any way" implies?

I mean true exploitation ain't the word for that, it's an entirely different problem here.

The hell is “true” exploitation. It’s not a spectrum.

Pfff you just don't know when to quit, do you. Maybe try to read what someone actually says instead of projecting.

Exactly what it says. But drawings are not children. Are you going to claim that the artist used his own kid as a model?

I just know that these types never get this irate about shota or shotacons. But then again, there is a reason for that. It was the same for Agnes Chan and Equality Now, just like it was for the Daughters of Megalia. It will always be the same for these types.

Your "guess" that I think lolicon is not pedophilia? That doesn't even make sense. If it is sexual, of course it is. It's literally the definition.

But that wasn't really your question, because you interpret everything as judgment. When I say it is pedophilia, to you that means "it is bad". And that is what you actually want to know: Do I think it is bad? Correct?
