Natural disasters don't obey State borders...

What you need to do is work with several longitudinal studies regarding these phenomenon and map them.

There are companies that specialize in location services that match your needs. (Secure, long-term, data/etc storage placement, for example.)

Emergency Management Agencies by State and the Federal Emergency Management Agency has maps for regions related to natural disturbances/events. These are crucial for responding to and preparing for disasters, especially where industry, population, location of hazardous materials, etc, are concerned.

You can find relatively calm, low-risk, areas in every State, I'm sure. It's a big country and such events are localized. (Unless they're really, really, big... It wouldn't be advisable to build near a supervolcano.. or downwind of it, for example.)

No sh.. sherlock ?

I did not want to start a huge research before I haven't remotely decided though. Hence I came here. lol.

You came to Steam... to get advice about States with natural disaster incidents... instead of looking up that recorded data and the publications the State's agencies publish that are specifically targeted to display that kind of information so it can be used predicatively...

Well, then, I'll leave you to your "research."

Indeed, but pointing me towards sources to make my own research isn't what I was looking for at all. I want to hear people's opinion. I know well enough how to dig into this in a more " professional " manner when I need to.

I don't recall Death Valley having tornadoes, floods, hurricanes or other life threatening disasters other than those mutants in the hills.

There is not one state in the US that has not been hit by a tornado. Hurricane remnants can still hit Arizona (eastern Pacific tropical storms are still called hurricanes, whereas western Pacific tropical storms are called typhoons). There are still years that all 50 States get measurable snow. Earthquakes can happen in any of the 50 States as well.

Pick your poison. The rest of the world is similar.

Arizona's low humidity makes it absolutely freezing in the winter across over half the state.

generally speaking the season-reistant weather is what causes the natural disasters everywhere that has them.

Not Nevada. We are being overrun by California carpetbaggers.
