What are your favorite songs in spanish?
Either fully, or partially. Spanish covers of english songs count as well.

When I said religion a lot of songs about latin america may show the giant Jesus statue

"Christ the Redeemer
Christ the Redeemer, colossal statue of Jesus Christ at the summit of Mount Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Brazil."

Though I had forgotten its in brazil, which is where they speak Portuguese.

Sometimes I think Rio is spanish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVS-a5oeSMA

LOL to be fair mate they are similar languages. I do not know portuguese but i can understand most of what a brazilian would say to me and they would most likely understand whatever i reply in spanish. I only ever heard portuguese from 2 dudes from portugal once and i could not understand a single word, i had no idea what language they were speaking but i can understand most of the brazilian portuguese i hear.

I do not listen to brazilian music so maybe they have religious songs that are popular over there, however, you know what popular songs from them i did heard because they even reached me? Yes about attractive women

Rio or well river is the same word in spanish and in portuguese so yeah... a lot of words ''overlap'' like el dorado aswell but that means the golden translated directly.

Sometimes people here speak portuguese, very rarely though. Least I think its portuguese. Like every couple years I might hear it in a store.

My first experience with a Spanish speaker was my dad's new girlfriend from mexico. I thought the only english she knew was "No", I didn't know that no was spanish.

Though the Spanish "no" can be a lot more fun to say than English no. Because Spanish No has like a Hard No like Nooooo, and english is like "no"

We had a tv show growing up called "I love lucy" and her husband was Ricky, from Cuba. And he would speak Spanish sometimes.

I did take one course on Spanish in high school. But I didn't learn that much. I always have issues learning non-english because I have issues with gendered language. Like la mesa being female and so on. Basically everything having a gender. My brain shuts down because it finds it an absurdity.

A lot of language do, do that though and I struggle with it. Such as when I took French in college. I think Its becoming less of an issue for me, but its still up there.

Yes it is a hard language to learn, ingrish its way easier and i still screw up way too often.

I like the trope of the hispanic character speaking spanglish sometimes never fails to get a chuckle out of me.

Last time I had a spanish speaker as a friend, it was a cute guy from venezuela. I had thought I'd meet my half mexican half siblings one day and mexican step mother. But he went to prison, she estranged him, then he died. So who knows if I'll ever see them.

Originally I was going to learn Spanish to know what she said behind my back and talk to my siblings, in case they learned spanish. Course the way my country is going, going south of the border might be the best thing to do.
the one song from far cry 6 about libtard or whatever it's called ig

Are most Spanish songs about attractive girls and guys? Thats the feeling I always get.

Like what do people in Spanish countries listen to if its not about that or religion?

Folklore, the old ways run deep beneath the religion.
