How is it possible to get the wet smell out of shoes?
I was walking like 20 blocks in the snow to get to work a couple months back and they got this nasty wet smell on em. Been a couple months and I still haven't found a good solution to help fix this.

This shoe just smells funky and wet from the rain. Any idea how to fix this one too?

I'm hesitating the option of putting them in the washer because I remember putting a pair of DCs in the washer and letting them dry in the sun, they ended up keeping the same old wet smell.

It's imbedded in the fabric, you can't get it out.

Baking Soda or Baby Powder, sprinkle inside at night. It will help dry it out and stop odor. In the morning clap the soles together to get rid of excess powder before wearing. Use cedar insoles or chips as another option if avaialble (as it's less messy but does the same trick).

Or freeze the shoes overnight, and then let them defrost in the sun. It will kill odor causing bacteria.

Avoid the washer - it will just damage them more. If the soles are already damaged, you might need to replace them.

I have read somewhere once that leaving tea bags in your shoes over night absorbs the moisture and leaves them smelling fresh.

He'll just go noseblind to it. He won't smell it anymore, but everyone around him will.

Soak in Palmolive antibacterial dish soap for 10 hours then rinse....let them dry in the sun. This works for sandles. Im not sure if it would damage the shoe for soaking though.
