Why do People buy Macs???
I honestly need to know why do people waste their money on Macs. There not good at anything.

Only reasons I can think of is:
1. People just want to look cool
2. This person clearly doesn't know anything about computers
3. They're just trying to be trendy (relates to 1)

PC's outclasses in Editing, Rendering, Designing, Gaming, Photo Editing, Video Photograhy. Apple sells outdated items at sky high prices. Yet people still buy them?
Even for my design class in college we have these large Macs they're overpriced and still slow. I know Adobe started out on the Mac (We watched a Documentary in Class), and it's tradition to get a Mac for Design, but that does not mean they're the best to get for your Design needs. PC destroys in that category as well.

So why do people get them?

This Video below features a 2,000 dollars pc vs Apple's most top of line items on the Apple website which cost 4,000 dollars the "Mac Pro".

I don't know, if you like the OS just buy a PC for the hardware and install the software that you want.
So far I can't get a legitimate answer lol. I'm stuck with the answers I generated still lol...
1. Trying to be Trendy
2. Get one because they look cool
3. Lack knowledge of computers

And as far as Macs being virus free, I would have to disagree. PC's are simply more affortable, thus making them more accessible to more people. This allows for more people to have a chance at writing code for viruses on the PC.

I know it's more in depth then the explaination above, but I'm was just giving a main key point.
I think PC's outclass Mac's in everyone way shape and form, and even the aesthetics department is debatable. But that's just me though.

Macs have some programmes that are superior to their PC counterparts, so some businsses use them.
This also leads to staff/business owners buying them so they can work from home.

Any other owner, yes, you can probably apply your 3 theories to. If someone has zero knowledge between the two products, they'll likely buy the one thats been heavily advertised and has a high public profile. Some people just want a product that works out of the box.

Clearly it's because Mac don't use virus scanners, therefore can't get a virus... *rolls eyes*
They dont get viruses because of the way they run programs. They only allow you to run programs by identified developers. You can run other ones at your own risk, though. They do get viruses, but very rarely.

This retarded conversation really went on for 8 hours.

It is a personal choice based on comfort levels with tech and general understanding.

OP? Shut up until you show a screen cap you used to learn the negative on for macs. Surely you know macs and apple products promote pictures, so you must have a few on social networks? Also a machine type, OS model, and year.

Just so I can know you are actually informed. Oh, in Follow up questions, expect pop quizzes on mac only options...

So... What do find inferior about macs, aside from the WHOLE fact they are a separately designed OS on proprietary hardware, and game devs have to develop an inferior game copy to appease 1/3 the market?

They don't get viruses(often) mainly because only ~9 percent of all computer users are on a macintosh. With ~85 percent on windows, people that make viruses will primarily make their viruses for the operating system with the most users.

Mac had it use back in the day, faster rendering better audio/video production software etc. these days both windows and linux have caught up on that. So now they're caught in the dark ages with no edge anymore.
The whole less viruses is due to poor sales of the OS if you can expliot linux you can do it to macOS, its just theres less to gain by doing it.

My aged mother bought a mac because "PC's are too complicated".

I think a good portion of their customers are/were because of the marketing campaign. They focused more on emotional manipulation than on the actual products. Subaru uses the same aproach, though a bit more heavy handed("they lived").

I've nevered seen Macs promoted for Business in my life though :/ If anything that's what PC's were promoted for back in the past (Spreadsheets, Docs, Powerpoint). Macs were always promoted as the "cool designers" machine. Man, there's honestly no way around it to me, PC's are better man.....in everything lmao

What? Screen Cap? Are you on the right thread?

So the 2016 Macbook Pro has come out, and once again Apple has prove to me, their a "Joke".
"Pro"? With those specs? Seriously, Apples doesn't care about the consumer.

Well, I usually buy Macs because I like how they combined the special sauce with the two patties and the lettuce.
