Any good open-world class-based Action-RPGs?
First of all I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place of the forum.

So I really enjoyed Cubeworld years ago. Since it's not updated since jan 2013 I am looking for similar games. With that I mean openworld, classbased rpgs, games where you level up, get better loot, improve you skills, etc. with preferably not realistic graphics. Games like Skyrim just don't appeal to me for some reason. I like less realistic graphics like cubeworld had. I also would like a multiplayer optionn, although not necessarily. And yes, I know about Trove, played it for too long...

Everything in a row:
Looking for action-rpg with:
-Classes/skills
-Fighting monsters to level up
-Open world-ish
-Preferably bright/pixellike graphics
-Multiplayer(optionally)

Thanks!

Portal knights?
Trying to stay away from early access. I am only interested in early access games that seem amazing, even in early access.

Witcher 3.
Its not really classbased right?
Rift is kind of a WoW clone. I've played and it's not bad.

who cares, its the best game to exist in recent years.
Secrets of Grindea seems nice. Maybe this makes it a bit clearer...
So uhh

There was this game I used to play as a kid, called Sherwood RPG. It was like a free WoW clone, but it was actually really good. I poured hours into that game.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it's still around after 9 years: http://www.sherwooddungeon.com/home.html
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

It's in the same series as Skyrim, but it actually has classes, and the graphics are brighter and more colorful, instead of being dull and gray.
I thought a legit criticism of Oblivion was that enemies scaled to your level, meaning you never really felt powerful at all. I only played Morrowind and Skyrim though so I don't know for sure.

Far Cry might be what youre looking for.
It doesnt really have classes, but it is open world, has quest and level up like things, etc.

It's a problem, but it's not that big of a deal. As long as you're smart about leveling up,and you don't screw up your character build, You'll be fine. Besides, there are mods that fix the issue.

Even though I know where you're coming from it isn't quite what I am looking for.

Now that I found out about Secrets of Grindea I found that classes may not be that important. And maybe I am getting open-world wrong? What I mean by that is that you don't do stages like mario for example, but have a world with zones, towns and dungeons. I also like the sort of medieval style. So some example games:
-CubeWorld
-Trove
-Secrets of Grindea
-Diablo
-Skyrim
-Borderlands (not medieval
-Wynncraft (Minecraft mmorpg server)
-Realm of the mad god
-Tales pf maj'eyal (dont like the turnbased gameplay and its too complicated, but in the right direction)

I would also like to thank you for all the suggestions you gave so far!

A good open world example might be the original NES Zelda. For the most part you could tackle the dungeons in any order barring Level 9 which required the assembled triforce to even get past the 2nd room.
Realm of the mad god used to be good, I still suggest portal knights, it's good.

It's indeed what I am looking for, but I think I'll wait and see if the devs will keep the game updated.
