Wireless Internet Service + Gaming?
So here is my situation:
I'm stuck with crappy 3 mbps down and 300kbps upload Windstream internet and THEY WONT LET ME UPGRADE! I'm sick of it, especially having a family and being a gamer myself, it just doesn't work! So I'm considering Yellow Jacket Broadband 4G LTE Unlimited 6mbps/3mbps wireless internet. But is Wireless internet good for gaming? I know satellite internet is impossible for games, but wireless just uses cell towers. My average ping during a speedtest is 120ms... (ikr) and it gets an F rating in a pingtest. Yellow Jacket Broadband uses Sprint Cell Towers for their service. I live in Manlius, NY, 13104. Someone please tell me if this will be good for games like minecraft multiplayer, call of duty and a few other online games. This is my last chance for internet. And please don't give me all the "I have DSL and Cable and Fiber and I have these amazing speeds." It just makes me jealous and no DSL or Cable providers offer service in my area. We also need no data cap so if this is good for gaming, it'll be a dream come true.

Thank you so much!

that's a small upgrade, and i'll tell you wireless internet SUCKS. i get 300mbps down and 12 up when i use ethernet, but when i use my wireless card the speed plummets and fluctuates between 50 and 70 down, and my wireless card is not even close to being maxed out. so if i get that much of a decrease and my room is next to the one the modem is in then you're probably gonna have a major decrease in speed. if you can use wired on your current service but not the upgrade it might not be worth it

Heya. I do remember looking into yellow jacket now but I've never tried it and instead I'm using a service called 4G Antenna Shop aka 4GAS. I started using it about 6 months ago and I highly, highly recommend it. It's a HUGE upgrade. They use T-Mobile towers and with the newest modem directly from them, we can get 25 mbps download and 5-10 mbps upload consistently. I've even gotten all the way up to 40 mbps download one day! And this is with 2 bars of signal out of 4. Their highest plan is $85 a month for 50 GB with unlimited HD video streaming and 1-5 mbps download after 50 GB. I can say with certainty, though, in the 6 months we've had the service we've been slowed probably twice and this is from a family of 3 with 2 that are always online and using the connection. We pay $75 a month because we were customers before they changed policies or plans or whatever and I'm pretty sure we get unlimited 1080p streaming instead of 720p or 480p as advertised on their website, but you can contact them for that. I make it sound like they're paying me to say all of this lol but I'm just so overjoyed we found them because it feels like I have actual internet now. I highly suggest looking into them. Good luck! 4gantennashop.com
