It looks like a mans watch to me, a womens watch is dainty and has a small clock face. In regards to it being fake it really depends on how much the seller is selling it for.

I use pocket watches. Fake or not, that is not a gold or gold plated watch. I wouldn't give more than $10 for it used. And since it isn't a pocket watch I wouldn't buy it anyway.

Michael Kors only sells gold tone watches. Not gold or gold plated.
