Ramen Noodles
How do y'all prepare your ramen? Do you like to add anything to it when you can? What all do you do?

boil it in a pot, package and all.

I make my Ramen home made. Just use some broth (pork or beef), miso and soysauce, add the noodles and wait for them to get soft. I usualy add some thin slices of steak or roast (what ever I have on hand), a hard boiled egg and some steamed baby bok choy.

Far better then the packaged ramen.
Teach me master!
I snap it in half with the wrapper still on, it seperates the noodles into two chunks and opens it for me. Then, I grab the flavoring packet out and dump it into the pot with water in it. And I put the flavoring in and let it sit until it boils and the foam reaches the top. Then I put it in a bowl and perform a satanic ritual with it.
I got this small square bowl thing that I make my ramen in.
Put water in the bowl.
Add seasoning.
Mix up the seasoning with the water.
Put in that square hunk of noodles.
Microwave 3-4 minutes.
Pour ramen in a larger bowl.
Enjoy the ra-OH **** THAT'S HOT
Put a few ice cubes in the large bowl.
Wait a minute.
Enjoy the ramen.
I like eating cup ramen, the ones where you just open the lid, pour the seasoning in, fill the cup/container up with water, and then microwave it :bite: It suits lazy people like me!
Only packaged, dried ramen I like is the Nissin "Top Ramen" brand/Oriental flavor. I use about 3/4 of the seasoning packet, add sliced jalapeno's (sometimes a little bit o' sliced roast beef), bring to a boil, cover and simmer on very low heat for 10 minutes. The dried stuff, I like them to absorb enough liquid so they have a texture that is less like an over-starched shirt. I'll make it now and then in winter when I'm feelin' lazy.

Fresher stuff (home made or dine-out) can be awesome, in many forms. I'm usually too lazy to make it tho, so I just grab it from some take-out place.

Why the hell are you people turning crap noodle soup into some complicated thing? I feel fancy just cooking the starch off the noodles.

You all have a better meal. Just remove the Ramen.

How about you stop posting stupid crap and reply to me in a meaningful manner, just once, Bob? Seeing how this forum works, i guess I should start flagging you for spam or stalking.

Not gonna. Yet.

Here is a guy who knows how to do ramen.

Rest in Peace Justin. You were loved, and I miss you...
Smash it up a little in the package.
Dump it and the seasoning in a bwl and add watter.
Nuke for three minutes, then stir in about a tsp of garlic chili paste.
Nuke for three more minutes.
Add frozen vegetables last so they cool it off, and don't get over cooked.
just add freshly washed/cut onion springs or little bits of cooked meat.
adding a raw egg to ramen with hot noodles is also good.

Raw egg?!
I'm out.
Ramen is a love/hate relationship. I eat it with boiled water and cant help but drink some of the broth. Then I contemplate if the 80% daily sodium intake was worth it LOL
I use Maruchan's ramen noodles, first off.

First, I take the thing of hard ramen noodles out of the bag and put the seasoning aside, for now.

I put the hard noodles in the bowl, and pour water in it until it floats just above one side.

After that, I just put it into the microwave and cook for a minute. If the noodles are still to stiff, I put them in another minute until I can bend them.

Then I bend the noodles down into the water and put it in for another minute. The noodles should be good right about now. Just add the seasoning, stir, and mix around the noodles, and you have a bowl of yummy ramen noodles.
