So, if I use a software like dxtory to lock fps , will it just show less frames or it will stop cpu and gpu from making extra frames ?
Depends. Some prefer it on, other prefer it off.
For me, I always turn it off. (truth be told, a lot hates it on)
There's a known bug with VSync on DirectX11 where dropping below 60 will keep it locked at 30 until you restart. Try again without VSync and see what happens.
If you still can't get 60, that means your GPU simply isn't strong enough to push 2 megapixels at those settings. 1366x768 is just *slightly* more demanding than 1280x720, and you might see a 2-3 FPS difference.
A friend of mine has the original version of the game and it is wayyyyy buggy. So, I never bought it and before buying the D edition I checked some reviews about it and found out that after few fast travels , fps drops a lot and it is unplayable until restart. I also found out about the fps lock then. So, I haven't bought it yet. I can't check it.
I liked DS 1 . But the DS 2 is buggy.
