I personally thought it was the best episode in the entire series, even topping "Not What He Seems"....

and even though it is a disney channel cartoon, it involves incredibly dark situations. Especially the last three episodes

Never has a show made me cry, but this show is so well-written. The ending made me genuinely cry, I did not just "tear up" a little bit. I was completely sobbing, and I still am. Other people might have other opinions on the ending but I loved it.

The creator said THIS CHAPTER is definitely over, but we may see the characters in something else, possibly a continuation in the future.

Yeah, everyone was talking about that reversed message, Me and my friends (It's My friends and I, Grammar, Stanley) actually figured it out the same night it came out. We felt so special for about 10 minutes.... Then we realized everyone else found it too. ;/

Maybe they could release an extra episode with the final DVD showing what happened after Dipper and Mabel left gravity falls ?

They could show there parents and them starting high school and maybe we could learn Dippers real name ?
